Tara has been in the healthcare industry since 1994. She began her career in a skilled home care department for a local hospital district. Seeing the need for non-medical home care with operators that understood scope of practice, Title 22, and Joint Commission, she started a non-medical division for the hospital district.

In 2014, Tara opened Care Choice Home Care, CCHC. CCHC is now a proud provider to the San Diego, Orange County and Riverside County. She pioneered CCHC affiliations with Palomar Health, Gary and Mary West PACE and the San Diego Veteran’s Administration.

In 2016, The Foundation for Care integration was formed to fund services for older or disabled adults to age in place.

She is on the nominating committee for CAHSAH (our state association). She finalized the San Diego County partnership with Live Well. She is on the San Diego Senior Alliance committee who is addressing California’s Master Plan on Aging and is a member of San Diego’s Council on Aging.
